Quantitative face fit testing
A Portacount machine measures real particle counts inside and outside the respirator and reports a numeric fit factor. The gold standard for any FFP3 disposable, half-mask, or full-face respirator.
- Maximum 16 tests per day

Qualitative face fit testing
Hood-based taste test using Bitrex (butter) or Saccharin (sweet) solutions. Suitable for FFP3 and reusable half mask respirators - a simple Pass/Fail methodology.

Qualitative Training
A half day theoretical and practical course will provide candidates with the required knowledge and skills to undertake their own face fit testing in house, in accordance with HSE INDG479.

- Approx. 4hr course

Compliance made simple
Book & brief
Tell us how many people, which masks they wear, and the test site address. We'll confirm a date and send a pre-test checklist.
Test day
We arrive early, set up, and run the full HSE protocol — seven exercises each taking one minute. Each person takes 15–25 minutes.
Same-day results
Each test is a Pass or Fail. In the event of a fail we will refit/retest or retest on a different mask at no additional cost. You will then receive your certificates.
Expiry reminder
We will send a renewal reminder prior to your certificate expiry date. We make it effortless to stay compliant.
